Top Five Cannabis Strains to Never Try
We have all had those experiences with cannabis that we wish we hadn’t. Be it a paranoid trip, or getting caught when we should not have, there is always something. For many, one of those moments is tasting, and or feeling the effects of a strain that is simply not too savory. As we all know, there are hundreds if not thousands of different types of marijuana, and unfortunately, not all of them can be a glorious as we envision or wish. Sometimes we may come across a strain that is not great, or simply terrible as a matter of fact! Of course, we are dealing with opinions here, and while one person may hate a certain strain for this reason or another, someone else, of course, might claim it as their favorite strain! Such variety can sometimes make it difficult to find just what you prefer, and what will work best for you. Often times its trial and error. Despite all of that, while cannabis is still cannabis regardless of the strain, there are those that one should stay away from for one reason or another. It’s important to remember that cannabis, is cannabis and even the worst strain is still going to be pretty good. Today we will be discussing some of these strains that one should avoid. There are multiple factors that we will consider, from taste to effects and more! Let’s get started!
#5- Madman OG:
To start off our list, we have Madman OG, an innocent looking strain that has some great qualities, bred from LA Confidential and OG Kush, this strain has a-lot going for it. With THC between 16-24%, this is also a fairly potent strain. Many users enjoy this strain in fact, and it almost doesn’t belong on this list. What gets it on this list, is the fact there is at least 1% CBN in this strain, and it is more than common that paranoia, and anxiety, in high levels, will result from the usage of this strain if you’re susceptible to that sort of thing. Taking the number five spot on our list, the levels of paranoia and anxiety that are often associated with this strain may not be worth the risk for some.
Next up on our list is a pure Indica, hailing from Barney’s Farms, it is a cross between Malana and the Hindu Kush. In some stoner circles, it is known that you stay far away from anything involved with Violator Kush, which as sometimes been compared to inhaling glass shards. This strong, and potent Indica has a strong musty and earthy scent and if you’re brave enough to try it will land you couch locked for the next few hours. While the taste and smell might not be the worst or the reason this strain made our list, the absolute harshness of its smoke.
A difficult crop to grow properly, this strain is a mix of Northern Lights #5 and Skunk #1. Due to how hard this strain is to grow, there are many plants out there producing very low-quality bud, with minimal trichomes, taste, smell and even effect. Many users of this strain complain that despite the high content of THC, the strength of this strain is severely lacking. While it is true that if it is grown properly, a decently nice crop can be had, due to the difficulty it is a rare occurrence, thus exposing people only to the bad side of this strain, thus the reason why it has made this list.
#2- Cat Piss:
There are various reasons why a strain might be on our list, from taste to effects and smell, if you couldn’t guess it, this strain has a pretty gnarly taste and smell, one that somewhat resembles feline urine. Leaving little to the imagination, this Sativa strain is great for daytime, use and unlike some of the other strains that we have listed here, actually has some positive traits when it comes to the after-effects of the strain, meaning if you can get over the horrible taste and aroma, you can experience a pretty good strain.
For the number one option on our list, we have another form of animal extremist although this one of a different sort. Dog Shit is a Sativa dominant hybrid that is well known for its aroma, and taste which, as you can probably guess, strongly resembles dog feces. Made from Purple Zacatecas, crossed with Columbian Gold, Cambodian, and Afghani this strain, if you can get over the taste and smell, has a very relaxing and creative vibe associated with it. Energy and euphoria are also known to accompany this potent strain, but for most, the smell is just a little too much to handle.
Strains are the many different ways that cannabis phenotypes are presented, and some of them are wonderful to enjoy, but others not so much. What is important to remember however, regardless of what strain you’re looking into getting, is that they are all still cannabis, they are all going to be very similar at their base level, with differences in taste, flavor, and effect do exist; it is all from the same type of plant generally speaking. Today we have looked at some cannabis strains that you may prefer to stay away from for one reason or another. While of course, no harm is going to come to you if you do, it just might not be the best experience you’ve had with cannabis. Bearing that in mind, this article was of course written with many opinions in mind, as such a thing, of course, would be, so your experiences may vary in the end. Whatever you decide to try, or end up smoking always remember to be safe, and enjoy yourself! With cannabis, you really can’t go wrong!
